Cross Street Flower Farm is a specialty cut flower farm located in the beautiful New England town of Norwell, MA, 30 minutes south of Boston. Our flower farming apprentice program is a full time, seasonal position that teaches all facets of farming.
In 2018, we launched our apprentice program to help train aspiring flower farmers. When our founder, Nikki Bartley, started out farming a decade ago, she searched for an apprentice program like this to learn from other flower farmers, and it just didn’t exist in our area.
So, she made a promise to herself to start an apprentice program on her own farm someday. This is our fourth year of the apprentice program. Our apprentices are now an integral part of our small but mighty team. During the course of the season, apprentices learn all aspects of flower farming – from field work, to harvest and post harvest handling of flowers, design work and so much more.
We have filled our apprentice positions for the 2021 season. We will be accepting new applications in late summer/fall 2021 for the 2022 season.
Additional seasonal position descriptions coming later this Spring.
Our flower shares and floral arrangements are available only when they are in bloom and sell out quickly. Sign up to stay informed about flower share releases, new products, and upcoming farm experiences.
