Part 2: Cutting Garden Prep- Setting Your Garden Up For Success!

Part 2:In this second class of our Grow Your Own Cutting Garden Workshop series, we will guide you through the basics of creating your very own small-scale cutting garden in your backyard. We will focus on:
selecting a good site for your garden,
preparing the site
setting your garden up for success and low maintenance
demonstrate direct seeding, weed prevention strategies
how to harvest your cut flowers
Each participant will seed a tray of our high summer bloomers to take home and plant, such as Zinnia, Celosia, Globe Amaranth, Cosmos, and Marigold. You will also receive one of ourHigh Summer Cutting Garden Kits.(Combinedtake-home seedings value over $150)
Wear your gardening clothes and get ready to get your hands in the dirt. This class is hands-on. You will learn how to transplant seedlings, and we will demonstrate how to set up a low-maintenance cutting garden.
This class is appropriate for both beginners and intermediate gardeners.

Be sure to dress comfortably and for the weather. We will maintain social distance and masks will be optional as the class takes place outside in the farm fields.
